Case: Server 1 has got statistics from a site which is moved to Server 2.
1. Copy from server 1 \stats\config\db\*<dirnaam>.txt to server 2 \stats\config\db 2. Check if the directory map name still is the same (so the db file names are the same) 3. rename *<dirnaam>.txt naar b.v. *L01<dirnaam>.txt if the directory map name is not the same
Rebuild awstats
remove the database for the month you want to rebuild, so you can add new logfiles step by step.
example
d: cd\stats awstats.pl -update -config=<mapname> -dir=D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\<mapname>\stats -lang=nl -configdir=config/setup -logfile=D:\Logfiles\WWW\W3SVC2081230675\ex080901.log

If you want to add all logfiles from one directory (one website) instead of one at a time the following command could be useful. Code:LogFile="D:\Stats\logresolvemerge.pl D:\Logfiles\<mapname>\*.log |"
1) Replace the <mapname> tag with the directory name of the website you want to rebuild. Check the properties of the website in the IIS Management Console for the location of the logfiles directory. 2) This command should be placed in the .conf file of the website you're rebuilding the stats for. This file is located in D:\Stats\config\db. Backup the old command, because it has to be replaced at the end of the rebuild process. 3) Rebuild awstats by running the batch file (Stats.batch.bat) one more time. 4) Replace the new command by the old command in the configuration file. Save and exit. Check your stats and it should contain all the stats from the log directory. Edited by user Thursday, November 12, 2009 11:22:30 AM(UTC)
