Uploading attachements in forms (and save in database)

This brief case describes the field types Att_File and Att_Photo. We also show how to save this

attachement in a database.

There a large number of situations available where you would need the use of sending a attachement. For

Example a CV if you want to apply for a job online. With this example its usefull to enter this

attachement also in a database, with a connection to the user table. To realize this we execute the

following steps:

1. Building the needed table fields
2. Building the form fields

1. Building the needed table fields
AT first we start by making a table, in this case 'weblogin'. In this table we put all user data. the next

fields we create for the uploading a attachement function.

Fieldtype Fieldname
Att_file CVupload
Fileurl AttFileloc

The Att_file will function as a field with a browse button to upload your file. Fileurl for save the file

at the registered user.

2. Building the form fields
The next step is making a registration form the normal way, except for the field we just mentioned you do

the following:

{!!AttBestandloc__h!!} The Fileurl should be posted hidden to make to form work

Att_file should be:

dlsecure is 0 or 1, at what 0 is not secure and 1 is secure
dlgroep is the name of the group in which the file must come, usual use general for this, this always

Dlfieldname is the name of the Fileurl in which the file can be saved.

The example will look something like this:

When you press submit the file will be uploaded to the server, using a none (0) or secure (1) encryption,

and be placed in a certain group and finally, be registered to the person.

Because of all translation problems and #$*&%^# naming of fields above, a clean overview:

Set CMS to English to get the correct name of the Fieldtype.

In tabel create these 2 fields:

Field which will be presented in form and emailed in reply of form
Name of field: FieldinFormAndMail
Fieldtype : Att_file (Which is called Att_bestand in overview of tablefields)

Field which will be filled by the system after filling in the form, and can be used later in a view
Name of the field: StoredUrl
Fieldtype: File url (Which is called Bestandurl in overview of tablefields)

In a form use it like this:

Put this field somewhere in the form, but hidden with the __h: {!!StoredUrl__h!!}

FieldinFormAndMail = the fieldname
dlsecure = 0 or 1 and set to 0 if you don't have any weblogin with security buildin
dlgroep = Name of the Downloadgroup. This has to exists. By default the group "Algemeen" will be there.
dlveldnaam = name of the field where the location of the file will be stored in. (casesensitive)

In a view later:
Later you can use this field in a view, because this field is filled with the correct data: {!!Tabel.StoredUrl!!}
