in some websites there is the use of a photobook. to view the different pages most of the time the variable STARTPOS is used in the URL.
You can use this variable for viewing photobook pages, but keep in mind that adding this variable makes any further URL rewriting impossible
So this is just a request for the guidelines on programming for future projects. do not use STARTPOS ever. it's destroys the possibility for URL rewriting.

Hi Harm,
What do you suggest? Not using startpos means decreasing flexibility of the website.
It means you can only see the first XX items of a table.
I can imagine some people want to see all photo's and not only the first 10 or something, why did they add 20 if only 10 are shown?
So if you have a suggestion whithout decreasing functionality and flexibility please let me know.
You can also rewrite the following way:
photobook.html /basis.aspx?Lid=24&Lit=VIEW
photobook_2.html /basis.aspx?Lid=24&Lit=VIEW&STARTPOS=20
or something,
But nog using startpos isn't really an option
