Hi Greg, do you want to connect to a SQL Server on the same machine you are running Visual Studio on or an external machine?

I think you have to configure your firewall to allow the external IP, And the connection goes the other way around, You connect VS.NET to SQL.

Hi Bart,
It was helpful. I allow connections with SQL Manager in Windows Server firewall. I also have to open some ports to work on it.
Thx a lot.
