Hi,

I would like to update a view which is AjaxEnabled.
How can I do this on a website? Is there a javascript function to call, because it doesn't update automatically, but it's referring database is updated.

I use the latest SIENN Engine on the website.

Thanks!
Erwin

Hi Erwin,

When you use ajaxenabled for a view, the view is created in an updatepanel.
But there are no triggers for updating so this doesn't help you much.
Ajaxenabled only comes in handy for controls or forms where you don't want a pagereload while taking an action.
If you want something you describe below, the best thing you can do is create a webservice and a javascript which calls this webservice.
using this method you can let your view update itself whithout pagereload, but the action has to came from the client to get new information.
I once used a method like this for the chatmodule of "VDP", you can take a look at this because this is also your client.
Maybe, you have to modify some stuff but the basics are there.

Hope this will help you.

Regards

Bart
