Hi everybody,
I've got a question about Control number 44 (searchControl). How to customize it? I need to change size of text field and put some default text in it. Another question is about the range. Just Freetext or something more like menu or database?
Thx for any respons, Greg |

Hi Greg, you can modify this in the webcreator. "search control" or something like that. currently it is only searching in text's that are in the menu's. Where are planning to improve te searchcontrol so you also can search in databases and other texts

In webcreator it's called Control Search and you can set up the style of this control. This is ok but I need to turn off the sentence which is default: "Send request". How to do it?
Thx GF |

How do you mean, "Turn off 'Send request'" The search control is based on this request. When you hit return or click the button. the search control does a request which will show the search results. If you like some other action I think you should use another control instead of the search control.

Turn off the sentence "Send Request"(Zoek). I need just search box(input) without any sentence, button etc. After you type the word which you need to find just press Enter without buton... Is that possible to do in Sienn?

I'm not sure but I think the button will always be place with te search control. You can of cource create your own open control which works the way you want it to work You can even use javascript if you like to. The search control redirects to an URL. If you somehow redirect from javascript or opencontrol redirect to the same url you created your own search control.
I prefer the open control method.

Again about Search Control :)
I have 2 templates and 2 Styles. In every tempate Search part is a bit different. I mean Button should be a different picture.
Problem is that in both styles Search button is the same. I change in template path but in both templates butto is the same like in tamplate 1.
What it can be? |
